Julian Franklin Marsh

Julian Franklin Marsh, 68, of Jackson, died, Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013 at the Open Arms Personal Care Home surrounded by his family.

Mr. Marsh was born in Juliette, on October 30, 1944 to the late Robert Lee Marsh and the late Verlin Campbell Marsh.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Robert N. Marsh and Cecil Marsh; and a sister, Laverne Bell.

Mr. Marsh was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. He retired from Otis Elevator Company. Mr. Marsh was a member of the Towaliga Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing sports earlier in life, and later enjoyed playing golf.

He loved his family and church very much, and he especially loved to spend time with his grandchildren.

Mr. Marsh is survived by his wife of 48 years, Cathy W. Marsh; daughters and sons-in-law, Alison and Randy Hutcheson, Tara and Reggie Collins; grandchildren, Morgan Hutcheson, Ansley Hutcheson, Logan and Chelsea Collins of Americus, Rebekah Collins, and Garrett Collins; great-granddaughter, Kynslee Collins; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ronnie and Gayle Marsh of Hillsboro, Larry and Diane Marsh of Labelle, FL, Terry Marsh of Juliette; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. Julian Marsh were held February 13, 2013 at Towaliga Baptist Church. Reverend Jay Sanders officiated. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

Flowers are accepted but those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Towaliga Baptist Church Music Department, Post Office Box 674, Jackson, Georgia 30233 in memory of Mr. Julian Marsh.
