Piedmont Wrestlers Prepare for Tournament

The Piedmont Academy wrestlers are working for an upcoming tournament at The Weber School in Atlanta Jan. 31.

Piedmont’s scheduled match at Trinity Christian School in Dublin Thursday has been cancelled. Coach Alvin Hawkes said Tuesday he tried to find another date to replace Thursday’s event but was not able to.

Last week, the Cougars wrestlers hosted Weber, John Milledge, Westfield and Creekside. Owen Brady was 3-0 in his matches while Ian Boyd and Mills Smith were both 2-0. Payden Cantera and Justin Autry both finished the evening 1-1.
