Albert Alwyn Frost
Albert Alwyn Frost of Monticello, and Rumford, Maine, died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013 in Tampa, Florida.
Born in Rumford, Maine, August 17, 1923, the son of Irving A. and Agnes (Heath) Frost, he attended Rumford schools and Stephens High School.
Mr. Frost worked for many years as the owner for Frost Motor Parts in Augusta, Maine and in Detroit, Michigan. He was a lieutenant in World War II and active in the Rotary and the Elks.
He was married in Germany on May 8, 1945 to the former Wanda Mary Gryzenia of Detroit, who was his nurse while he recovered from war wounds.
Later, he was the longtime partner of Elaine Rocha of Rumford, Maine who predeceased him.
Mr. Frost was the father of seven children, the grandfather of 15, and the great-grandfather of 8.
There will be no services, his ashes will be scattered over Three Mile Pond in Maine the place that Albert and Elaine loved.
The family thanks the many people in Monticello, especially “Sissy,” who helped Albert when he first developed Alzheimers.
