Man Is Hospitalized After Roadside Stabbing
Jerry Lewis Crowe and Michael Randy Blake, both of Newborn, have been charged with aggravated assault after having been involved in a fight with each other on the roadside of Hwy. 142 near Deer Run Road on Monday, Jan. 7, according to information received from the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO).
Mr. Crowe, who received injuries consistent with being hit with a blunt object, was arrested Monday evening and has been released from the Jasper County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
Mr. Blake, who sustained injuries from being stabbed with a sharp object, was taken to the hospital and had not been arrested as of late Tuesday.
Neither man is believed to have life threatening injuries and the investigation of incident is continuing, according to the report. Any person who may have been a witness to the incident is requested to contact the Criminal Investigation Division of the JCSO at 706-468-4912.

Also, during the period of December 26 to January 3 the JCSO reported the following four criminal incidents. Anyone with information concerning any of them is encouraged to contact the JCSO at 706-468-4912, or use the anonymous tips line at 706-468-JCSO:
•On January 3 a resident on Felton McMichael Road in south Jasper County reported the theft of an mini notebook laptop computer, a Sony Play station, Xanax pills, Lortab pills, toilet paper and towels.
•On January 2 a resident on Gaissert Road in Newborn reported the theft of a Graco GM 5900 spray gun.
•On December 29 a resident on Turtle Cove Trailway in Turtle Cove reported the theft of a Rockford 10 inch speaker with amp.
•On December 28 a citizen reported the theft of a yellow horse riding caution sign on Blackwell Road in North Jasper County.
During the period of January 2-8 the JCSO also reported the following arrests:
•Lora Cathleen Ryles, 23, Shady Dale—probation violation and child support.
•Quan Dameon Middlebrooks, 22, Monticello—false swearing, theft by deception, theft by taking and altered/counterfeit certificate of title/tag.
•Allen Michael Humphries, 21, Covington—probation violation.
•Robert Stephen Stowe, 51, Monticello—criminal trespass.
•Darren Mitchell Greer, 48, Monticello—probation violation and failure to appear bench warrant.
•Brandy Starr Arehart-Lloyd, 35, Madison—hold for warrant in Clarke County.
During this same period deputies with the JCSO responded to 150 calls for service including 44 stopping suspicious person/vehicle, 15 alarm, 14 subject needs officer, seven mechanical break down, six each livestock on road, pick up prisoner/subject and trouble unknown, five each accident and domestic, four each prowler report and threatening/harassing calls, three each juvenile complaint, attempt to serve warrant and discharge firearms, two each fight, burglary, fire, theft by taking, dead deer, four wheeler, and music/noise complaint, one each dog disturbance, escort or convoy, wanted stolen indicated, crowd disbursement, lift invalid, deliver emergency message, property found, road hazard, trespassing and persons refuse to leave.
Also, during the period mentioned above the Monticello Police Department (MPD) reported the arrest of Tidous Mitchell Thomas, 21, of Monticello, and charged him with driving while license suspended or revoked and driving on a one-way road in the wrong direction.
During this period the MPD also reported to making 42 calls for service including 16 stopping suspicious person/vehicle, seven escort or convoy, four mechanical break down, two each alarm, domestic and checking location, one each assist motorist, intoxicated pedestrian, shortness of breath, subject needs officer, private property, trouble unknown, argument, violation of Georgia controlled substance act and persons refuse to leave.
In addition, during the period referred to above the Georgia State Patrol made the following arrests in various parts of the county:
•Jessica Lauren Jones, 18, Athens—possession of marijuana less than one ounce.
•Clementine Johnson, 49, Monticello—driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
•Danny Lamont Jones, 49, Warner Robins—driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
•Melvin Gene Minter, 49, Monticello—driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
•Reginald Deion Carey, 19, Macon—possession of marijuana less than one ounce.
