Eula Hurdle Newberry

Eula Hurdle Newberry, 98, of Powersville, died December 28, 2012.

She was born on August 11, 1914, in Macon County to John Walton Hurdle and Dora Pauline Borum Hurdle. She was the widow of the late Jackson I. Newberry, Sr.

She retired from Warner Robins AFB in 1971 as Contract Data Management Officer for the Vehicle Division of the Material Management Directorate.

Mrs. Newberry is preceded in death by her husband, and two year old great grandson. She is survived by four children: Jackson I Newberry, Jr., Patricia N. Adams, James W. Newberry, Sr., all of Powersville, and Leslie N. and Paul White of Monticello; also 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2012, at Powersville United Methodist Church with Reverend Jim Hamlin officiating.
