Probation Revocation Results In Jail Time
In Jasper Superior Court Tuesday, with Judge Hulane E. George, presiding, Hakeel D. Norwood, who was on probation for a conviction on the charge of burglary in November, 2010, was found to have violated his probation by the new charges of failure to report, testing positive for drug use and failure to pay any part of court ordered fines and fees of $1,275.
Mr. Norwood was sentenced to serve 90 days in the Jasper County Jail (JCJ) suspended upon his entry into a state detention center for 90-120 days, and upon release be returned to regular probation as originally ordered.

Three other probation violation cases were on the calendar, and were processed as follows:
• Clayton Besley, who was on probation for a conviction of obstruction and terroristic threats and acts in September 2010, was found to have committed the new charge of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Mr. Besley was sentenced to serve 90 days in the JCJ suspended upon entry into a state detention center for 90-120 days and upon release be returned to regular probation.
• Rocky Delee, who was on probation for a conviction of theft by receiving stolen property in August, 2010, was found to have committed the new charges of failure to report and failure to pay court ordered fines and fees.
Mr. Delee was sentenced to serve 90 days in the JCJ suspended upon entry into a state detention center for 90-120 days and upon release be returned to regular probation.
• Jerry Henry Brown, who was on probation for the charges of aggravated assault, criminal damage to property and driving without insurance in May, 2010, was found to have committed of the new charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to pay court ordered fines and fees.
Mr. Brown was sentenced to serve 90 days in the JCJ suspended upon entry into a state detention center for 60-90 days and upon release be returned to regular probation.
