Mrs. Golda Hamby Anderson

Mrs. Golda Hamby Anderson, better known as “Dobbs” died October 30, 2012.

She was the daughter of the late Homer and Bertha Underwood Hamby of Etowah. Mrs. Anderson was married to the late James N. Anderson, Sr.

She worked for many years a with the Post Office in Newborn. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church where she previously served as secretary.

Mrs. Anderson is survived by her children, Judy Rickard and Orville of Madison, Jim Anderson, Jr. and Connie of Newborn and Jeff Anderson and Carrie of Lawrenceville. She also leaves a grandson, Brian Anderson as well as two brothers, Homer Hamby and Thomas Hamby.

The funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 in the chapel of A.E. Carter Funeral Home. Interment followed at the Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery. Dr. Jim Ross officiated.
