Jim Holman

James Braxton Holman, 68, died Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012, at Newton General Hospital in Covington.

Mr. Holman was born in Mobile, Ala. His parents were the late Cammie Braxton Holman and Mary Pauline Pike Holman. He served in the U.S. Army and Navy. Before retirement in 2000, Mr. Holman owned and operated JASCO Electrical and Plumbing. His sister, Dorothy Lunsford preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Dumas Holman of Monticello; sons and daughters-in-law, James and Amy Holman and David and Felicia Holman, all of Monticello; grandchildren, Leah Campbell, Lyndsy Holman, Michael Clayton Holman, Jesse Holman, Hali Holman, and David Ty Holman; and great-grandchildren, Lincoln Blaze Campbell, and Paisleigh Belle Holman.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Jordan Funeral Home.

The family suggests in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Retreat Nursing Home, 898 College Street, Monticello, GA 31064.
