MS Canes Lose to Putnam

The Middle School ‘Canes traveled to Putnam last week and suffered a 42-12 loss.

Head Middle School Football Coach Buddy Cain said, “We struggled because we were a bit over matched by their size and speed, but the kids continued to fight to the end.

“Jay Johnson showed tremendous effort in the game and had a great interception. Matthew Lawson returned a kickoff for a touchdown and also caught a scoring pass from Braden Lynch.”

Coach Cain added that the team and his coaching staff are optimistic about their upcoming game versus Greene County.

The MS ‘Canes were scheduled to play Greene County at home yesterday, October 3.
