Charles H. “Chuck” Moore, III

Charles H. “Chuck” Moore, III, 43, of Gatlinburg, Tenn, died Friday, September 7, 2012.

Mr. Moore was a member of First Baptist Church, Gatlinburg, and went to school at Pi Phi and Gatlinburg Pittman High School before graduating from the University of Tennessee.

He joined the Navy in 1987 and became a Navy S.E.A.L. and served until 1992. He later served as manager of Guiness World Records Museum for many years.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Zola Moore of Gatlinburg, TN and Ernest and Oletha Blackwell, of Monticello.

Survivors include former wife, Misty L. Moore; daughter, Hannah Grace Moore; parents, Charles and Ola Moore, Jr., ALL of Gatlinburg.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 11 at Atchley’s Smoky Mountain Chapel in Pigeon Forge with Rev. Larry Burcham officiating. Interment will follow in Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens with Military Honors provided by American Legion Post #104.
