Betty Carolyn Corley

Betty Carolyn Corley, 76, died Friday, July 13, 2012, at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon.

Ms. Corley was born in Juliette to the late James Chaney Corley and Carolyn Ivey Corley. She worked for over 20 years as a seamstress for the Monticello Manufacturing Company. She retired from Harris Sample Book, Inc. and worked part-time for Hardees’s. She was a faithful member of Monticello Baptist Church.

Sisters and brother, Evelyn Hall, Martha Gail Corley, and James Davis Corley all preceded her in death.

She is survived by her sisters, Margaret Brownlee of Fairburn, and Cheryl Denise Corley of Monticello; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was held July 16, 2012, at the Edwards-Corley Cemetery in Juliette. Dr. Robert Whitmire officiated.

The family suggests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Cheryl Corley Benevolence Fund, c/o Monticello Baptist Church, 334 W. Greene Street, Monticello, GA 31064.
