Holiday Schedule

July 4th, Independence Day falls on a Wednesday this year, necessitating The News to change its production schedule.

Normally printed on Wednesday, The News will be printed on Tuesday because of the holiday. Therefore, any material—advertising, news items, and other announcements —for next week’s paper should be submitted by tomorrow, June 29, at 5 p.m.

The Monticello News will be printed on Tuesday, July 3, and available in area stores and newsstands that afternoon. The office will be closed Wednesday. Subscribers will receive their paper the same day as usual.
