DeLuquies Tuwarn “Skeet” Childs, Sr.

DeLuquies Tuwarn “Skeet” Childs, Sr., 39, of Jackson died June 8, 2012.

Mr. Childs was born January 24, 1973 to the late Fred Lee Childs, Sr., and Cunthia Denise Murick-Childs.

He joined Friendship A.M.E. Chuch at an early age. He attended Jackson High School and enjoyed singing in his spare time.

Mr. Childs joined the U.S. Army from July 1992 to December 1996, where he was stationed at Fort Bragg, N.C. and Vicenza, Italy. His other careers consisted of the U.S. Steel Mill in Gary, IN, travel Centers of America in Dallas, TX and Delta Airlines in Atlanta.

Mr. Childs married Darneshia Henderson on March 30, 1995.

In addition to his wife, survivors include a daughter, DeJanee Armani Childs; two sons, Devonte DeAngelo Wright and DeLuquies Tuwarn Childs, Jr.; a granddaughter, Dahlia RaChelle Wright, all of Arlington, TX; a sister, Arcola L. Childs, of Flovilla; two brothers, Fread Lee Childs, Jr. of Griffin and Joe E. Benton of Monticello, and grandmother, Vearnt Myricks of Jackson, and a number of other relatives, in-laws and friends.

A service was held Saturday, June 16 at Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Jackson. Pastor Kevin Gibbs and Debbie King officiated. Interment was held at Friendship A.M.E. Church cemetery.
