SISTERS SIGN WITH WEST GA TECH

Jasper County High School senior basketball player, Sharika Pennamon (seated, third from left) and her sister, Jasmine Pennamon (second from left) both signed to play ball at West Georgia Technical College for the upcoming season.
Jasmine graduated from JCHS as well, and “was a standout athlete while she was there; we made it to the sweet sixteen her [Jasmine’s] senior year,” says coach Dionka “DD” Davis, who coached both girls on the court. Sharika and her sister decided to both try out and they were both awarded the opportunity to play at West Georgia Tech. On hand for the signing was West Georgia Tech representative, Marco Mason (back row, second from left).
The ladies were accompanied by their family and coaches from the 2012 season. The girls are the daughters of Denise (front row, left) and Thaxton Pennamon (back row, right). Also there for the signing was Shamahd Pennamon, brother of the ladies, and JaDariyn Pennamon. Coach Davis and Coach Stephanie Scott, along with athletic director Chris Jenkins were also present.
