SQUARE IS SITE FOR SALES

Last Saturday, May 5, the Monticello Square attracted many visitors for the second annual City Wide Yard Sale. Vendors offered their wares on the Square, and there were sales throughout the city.

This Saturday, May 12, is the first weekend for the annual Market Festival on the Square, featuring very different items from last week. The market features fresh produce, handcrafted items, live plants, fresh-baked goods, and home-canned produce.

It is scheduled to be open each Saturday through August from 8 a.m. to noon. Persons interested in selling their wares should contact Market Manager Preston Wynens, 706-468-8583, for details.
