Magistrate, Superior Courts Take Action Here
After being sentenced in Jasper Superior Court on April 24 to 60-120 days in a state probation detention center for violation of his probation on a previous conviction of burglary, Donald Hill was on the Jasper County Magistrate Court Calendar last Friday, where he was also on probation by the Magistrate Court for the offense of disorderly conduct in October, 2011.
After hearing evidence Mr. Hill had violated this probation by failure to report, failure to pay court ordered fines and fees and failure to show proof of having completed 40 hours of fine-converted community service, presiding Judge Kenneth G. Jackson sentenced him to serve 60 days in the county jail, consecutive to the state probation sentence, and with a recommendation that an early release not be considered, however, that the Magistrate Court sentence shall be suspended upon payment of the $687 case balance.
