A.J. Thomas and Tyler Couch made several good plays with outstanding catches in the outfield, cutting off go ahead runs.
The ’Canes then lost their last game to AAA Eastside, 6-4 but not before putting up a fight.
Patrick Clement was the starter for the ’Canes and pitched four good innings allowing one earned run. He was relieved by Clay Hardy who pitched the next three innings.
Kevin Camp hit a three run home run over the Eastside fence in the second to give the ’Canes an exciting start. Walt McMichael had an outstanding backwards catch over his head at shortstop to keep the score at five for two innings.
Unfortunately, while the ’Canes made some good plays, they could not hold on to their lead long with several small mistakes adding up to a loss in their final game of the season.
