Several Get Jail Time as Probation is Revoked
Donald Hill, who was on probation for a conviction on the charge of burglary in November, 2010, violated his parole by the new charges of simple assault, cruelty to children, criminal trespass and interference with a 911 call, according to testimony in Jasper Superior Court Tuesday.
The court found sufficient evidence that Mr. Hill had violated his probation and he was sentenced to 60-120 days in a state probation detention center and upon release return to regular probation supervision as originally ordered.
Several other persons were also found guilty of probation violations and had their probation revoked, resulting in jail time.
Judge Hugh V. Wingfield, III, of Milledgeville, was on the bench Tuesday.
Other cases, and how they were settled, include:

•Yogi Yeomans, on probation for stalking, obstruction and criminal trespass in November, 2008, was found to have committed the new offenses of possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana. Mr. Yeomans was ordered to serve the balance of his probation in the state penal system with an end date of November 2, 2015.
•Christopher McCart, on probation for aggravated assault and disruption of a public school in August of 2007, was found to have committed the new charges of failing to report and failure to pay court ordered fines and fees. Mr. McCart was ordered to serve 120-180 days in the state detention center and upon release return to regular probation.
•Tony Thurman, on probation for forgery and theft by taking in April of 2009, was found to have committed the new charges of theft by shoplifting. Mr. Thurman was ordered to serve two years in the state penal system with credit for time served since March 21, 2012, and upon release return to regular probation.
• Donovan Sands, on probation for theft by taking in November of 2010, was found to have committed the new offense of aggravated stalking. Mr. Sands was ordered to serve six months in the Jasper County Jail with credit for time served since March 27, 2012, and upon completion return to regular probation.
• William Justin Wilson, on probation for possession/manufacturing and distribution of marijuana in May of 2011 and theft by taking in August of 2011, was found to have committed the new charges of failing to report and failure to pay court ordered fines and fees. Mr. Wilson was ordered to serve 60-120 days in the state detention center and upon completition be returned to regular probation.
•Travis Sentail Clemons, on probation for obstruction in February of 2012, was found to have committed the new offenses of failure to pay court ordered fines and fees, driving while license suspended and possession of marijuana. Mr. Clemons was ordered to serve 158 days in the county jail with credit for time of eight days served, and upon completion be returned to active probation.
• William Biddy, on probation for sale of illegal drugs in August of 2011, was found to have committed the new offenses of theft by receiving. Mr. Biddy was ordered to serve 60-120 days in a state detention center and upon completion be returned to regular probation.
In addition, the following individuals plead guilty to criminal charges as stipulated below and were sentenced as shown:
• Cody Dotter to two counts of burglary and two counts of entering auto—sentenced to five years with 90-120 days to serve in a state detention center which is suspended upon successful completion of Intensive Probation, fines and fees of $1,387, restitution of of $2,077, and ordered to stay away from victims.
• Christopher Fowler, Jr., to two counts of burglary—sentenced to five years to be served on probation, fines and fees of $1,387, restitution of $2,077, and ordered to stay away from victims.
•Joanne Lezatte to possession of dangerous drugs, possession of oxcodone, drugs not in original container, and two counts of obstruction of officer—sentenced to seven years to be served on probation and fines and fees of $1,387.
• Marlayna C. Cordell to theft by taking and driving while license suspended–sentenced to five years probation with 60-120 days to serve, fines and fees of $787 and restitution of $7,800.
Timothy J Mannor to simple battery and entering auto–sentenced to three years to be served on probation, fines and fees of $791, and ordered to stay away from victim.
Christian Webb to possession of illegal drug with intent to distribute and possession of an illegal drug–sentenced to four years to be served on probation.
Hakeel D. Norwood to forgery in the first degree–sentenced to two years to be served on probation and released with on time served of 115 days in the Jasper County Jail.
The following four individuals plead guilty to charges as indicated below, however sentencing was not available at press time:
• Jessica A. Cooker to DUI alcohol and DUI less safe.
• Timothy John Mannor to entering auto and simple battery.
• James Barry McConald to batter, criminal trespass and cruelty to children.
In addition, in Jasper County Magistrate Court on April 13, with Judge Kenneth G. Jackson, presiding, Dawayne Michael Clark plead guilty to possession of marijuana less than one ounce and was sentenced to 12 months probation, community service and fines.
