Helen Yancey Johnson

Helen Yancey Johnson, 80, of Turtle Cove, died Thursday, April 12, 2012, at Westbury Medical Care Home in Jackson.

Ms. Johnson was born in Rhine, to the late William Yancey and Pauline Horton Yancey. She lived in Atlanta for a number of years before moving to Monticello in 1973.

She was an avid golfer.

Her husband, Morris Lonnie Johnson; son, Greg Johnson; and brother, Jack Yancey, all preceded her in death.

She is survived by her children and daughters-in-law, Belinda Johnson Allen, Jimmy and Linda Johnson, and Ann Johnson, all of Turtle Cove; granddaughters, Andria Allen and Loni Johnson; great- granddaughter, Makaya Johnson; and sisters and brothers, Sue Roach of Carrabelle, Fla., Betty Parrish of Rhine, Billie Evans of Eastman, William Douglas Yancey of Byron, and Donald Yancey of Erin, Tenn.

The family suggests no flowers.
