Stalking is Charged; Mr. Odom Is Rearrested
After being arrested and charged with aggravated assault on January 18, 2012, Henry W. Odom was rearrested last week and charged with aggravated stalking.
After the arrest in January, Mr. Odom bonded out of jail, and under the conditions of his pre-trial release/bond he had to maintain a 500 foot distance from the victim.
The new charge and arrest came as a result of the victim, backed up by several witnesses that Mr. Odom had driven by several locations where he was on several occasions while taking pictures of him from his truck.
It was also reported that Mr. Odom violated the conditions of his release by attending the victim’s church while he was there.
After appearing in a bond hearing in Magistrate Court last week Mr. Odom was denied bond because jurisdiction for bond on the charge of felonious aggravated stalking lies with the Superior Court.
Tuesday, April 10, Mr. Odom appeared in a bond hearing in Superior Court with Judge James L Cline, Jr., presiding; bond was denied.
Other criminal activity reported by the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) included a burglary reported by a resident on Holman Road who reported the previous owner of the residence had taken items connected to the house and damaged the property.
