James Henry Eubanks
James Henry Eubanks, 47, of Jasper County died March 15, 2012.
Mr. Eubanks “UB Texastechmarocco” was born October 21, 1964 to Olin Eubanks and Carolyn Jenkins in Jasper County.
He attended Jasper County High School where he participated in football, track, basketball and had the privilege of running against Herschel Walker. UB graduated in May 1982.
Mr. Eubanks enlisted in the United States Army after graduating high school, and served four years. He enjoyed fishing, doing carpentry work, and telling his life tales. “I was born in 1947…” He had a smile that would light up any dark space. UB had a knack for always bringing laughter to those around him. He will be truly missed.
Survivors include, in addition to his parents, a daughter, Jamie Janell Eubanks; sons, Cameron Jamal Adams, and Chris; his brothers, Willie Benjamin, Jonathan and Nancy Eubanks, Quinton Eubanks, Olin Eubanks, Jr., Spencer and Monica Greene, Reginald Eubanks, Boris Greene, Jarvis Jenkins, Olan Eubanks; sisters, Patricia and Kelvin Anderson, Bonnie and Pervis Burden, Cynthia and Vernon Cozy, Tammie Stephens, Tamatha and Oscar Williams, Wanchello Greene, Bridgetta and Douglas Norris, and honorary sister Kendra Jackson; along with many other relatives and friends.
A service was held Friday, March 23 at Greenwood Baptist Church. Rev. Nicholas Curry, pastor, officiated. Interment was held at the community cemetery in Shady Dale.
Smith and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
