Pricilla Ann Brown

Pricilla Ann Brown died February 6 at Newton Medical Center in Covington.

God once again extended his hand and this time she took hold and flew away, leaving behind all the pain and suffering.

She was born on September 8, 1959 in Monticello to Sonny and Betty L. Barber Clemons. Ms. Brown worked for the Forest Service for many years. Dedicating her life to caring for others, she worked hard to be kind to everyone she knew.

“You only live once, but if you do it right once is enough.,” she was known to say. While she loved all, she trusted a few, believed some and did good by all.

She leaves to cherish her memories two sons, Dwight Jackson and Travis Sentail Clemons of Monticello; two daughters, Latessa Jana Brown and Shanqailla Mone’a Driskell of Hillsboro; a sister, Penny Clark of Covington; brothers, Tommy Lee Clemons, Lorenzo Clemons and Danny Clemons, all of Hillsboro; grandchildren: Chris, Amanda, Alexis, Faliesha and Aliesha, and a host of nieces and nephews. Also, a close friend, Willie Nelson Benjamin.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 10 at 2 p.m. at Springfield Baptist Church, 837 Hillsboro St., Monticello. Rev. Jimmy Horton, pastor, Rev. Cindy E. Causey officiating.

Visitation is planned today, Feb. 9, at 6 p.m. at Smith and Sons Funeral Home, 923 Funderburg Drive, Monticello.
