Middle School Canes Advance

THE 2011-2012 MIDDLE SCHOOL CANES

The Monticello Middle School boy’s basketball team finished the regular season and has won its first game in the Piedmont Athletic Conference (PAC) to advance to the second round of the tournament.

The conference includes area middle schools including, Putnam, Morgan, Youth, Loganville, Carver, Social Circle, and Greene.

The semi-final game was to be held yesterday, Wednesday, Feb. 1. If the boys win, they play for the championship game on Friday.

The boys team is 11-4 and will play Youth Middle School from Loganville in Madison in the second round of the tournament.

Jordan Stone scored 20 points and the game winning 3 point shot in a win over Putnam County last Saturday. C.J. Adams had 12 and Dimiria Glover had 8 points in the winning effort.
