January 31 Is Trivia Night

The fourth annual Trivia Night will be held Tuesday, Jan. 31, beginning at 6 p.m. at Jasper County High School in the Commons area.

Teams of up to five members are invited to compete for bragging rights for the next year while supporting the JCHS Academic Teams.

Teams may be made of church groups, school mates, alumni classes, civic groups, families, friends, whoever.

Trivia Night at Jasper County High School benefits the JCHS Extracurricular Academic Teams (e.g. Academic Quiz Team, Science Olympiad, Georgia Envirothon, Speech & Debate).

In order to attend competitions, the teams must pay entry fees and purchase training materials, and they are counting on community support to assist them in attending as many competitions as possible.

Concessions, including pizza by the slice, will be on sale and teams will receive points for right answers, enthusiasm/community participation and team coordination . . . and as always, there will be a special songbird recognition for the team who guesses the highest number of correct artists and pieces from audio clips.

Free popcorn is provided, and soft drinks are available.

Anyone planning on sponsoring or competing on a team should make your check payable to “Jasper County High School” in the amount of $50 and send it to Jasper County High School, Attn: Dr. Tyson Harty, 14477 Hwy 11 N, Monticello, GA 31064.

Postmark by Friday January 27, 2011. All entries after that date should be hand delivered on the date of the competition and the late entry fee at the door is $75.
