Thieves Strike After Christmas
Just two days after Christmas home owners on Hwy. 212 in west Jasper County reported their house had been broken into and burglarized. According to information received from the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) the burglar(s) made off with assorted change including old coins, eight pieces of gold and diamond jewelry, two lap top computers, two digital cameras, a camcorder and assorted knives.
Also, for the period of December 22, 2011 through January 2, 2012 the JCSO reported the following criminal activity in the county:

•On January 2 a resident on Flamingo Drive in Turtle Cove reported the theft of an air conditioning unit.
•On January 2 a resident on Stroz Drive in Pennor Hills reported the theft of a game console and electronic games.
•On December 31 a resident on Turtle Cove Trailway in Turtle Cove reported the theft of a Kawasaki four-wheeler.
•On December 30 a resident on Templeton Road reported the theft of a Massey Ferguson farm implements and a Snapper riding mower. At the time of this investigation, the resident also reported that copper had been stolen from the house back in July.
•On December 27 a report was received of a Ford Ranger that was stolen from a location on Sandpiper Drive a month ago.
•On December 22 a resident on Aldridge Road in Shady Dale reported the theft of a blue steel handgun.

•Kelvin Quintavius Whidby, 20, Monticello—probation violation.
•Olin Buddy Bradshaw, 25, Jackson—disorderly conduct.
•Christopher Lancde Fowler, Jr., 22, Monticello—disorderly conduct.
•Christian Amos Webb, 21, Macon—drugs not in original container and possession of Schedule III/IV with intent to distribute.
•Jessie James Griggs, 64, Shady Dale—criminal trespass.
•Qwaniesha Zhnae Sands, 18, Monticello—disorderly conduct.
•Tricia Michelle Smith, 24, Fayetteville, N.C.—hold for United States Army.
•Duane Paul Elmer, 47, Monticello—probation violation.
•Dillan Dale Davis, 18, Newborn—probation violation.
•Edgar Lee Barger, 57, Monticello—battery.
•Felixcia McMillan Barger, 54, Monticello—simple battery.
•Travis Sentail Clemons, 31, Monticello—crossing guard line with contraband and battery.
•James Ross Johnson, 26, Mansfield—probation violation.
During this same period deputies with the JCSO responde
\d to 150 calls for service including 39 stopping suspicious person/vehicle, 12 alarm, seven theft by taking and road hazard, six assist motorist, mechanical break down, subject needs officer and juvenile complaint, five noise/music noise complaint, four burglary, domestic, and accident, three each four-wheeler and vandalism of property, two each live stock on road, pick up prisoner, wanted, be on the lookout, discharge firearms, harassing calls, checking location, argument and identity fraud.
Also during this period the Monticello Police Department (MPD) reported the following arrests:
•Ruben Broxton Hardwick, 55, Monticello—public drunk and probation violation.
•Senior Lynwood, Jr., 51, Monticello—disorderly conduct and child support.
•Melissa Michelle Lisvey, 29, Monticello—probation violation and disorderly conduct.
•Obie Lester Lucky, 31, Monticello—fleeing and attempting to elude and probation violation.
During this same period officers with the MPD responded to 54 calls for service including 12 stopping suspicious person/vehicle, 11 escort or convoy, four mechanical break down, three domestic.
Also during this period the Georgia State Patrol reported the arrest of Andre Mayaka Bostic, 37, of Monticello and charged him with driving while license suspended or revoked.
