Mrs. Hazel Ruth Robinson

Mrs. Hazel Ruth Robinson died Thursday, December 22, 2011 in Eatonton.

She was born April 10, 1926 to the late Berry Christian and Idella Woodruff. Mrs. Robinson was a very fun loving and outgoing individual who was loved dearly by all of her family and many friends. She worked 26 years at Bibb Manufacturing Company in Porterdale, and was a devoted member of Springfield Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were two of her children, Charles and Emma Christian, three sisters, and four brothers.

Survivors include her son, Jessie Christian of Monticello; a devoted granddaughter, Samantha Reid of Eatonton; her sister, Annie Martin of Decatur; a devoted niece, Lois Jones of Decatur; four grandchildren, seven great- grandchildren, one great- great-grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services were to be held Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2011 at Springfield Baptist Church, 837 Hillsboro Street, Monticello. Rev. Jimmy Horton, pastor, Rev. Rufus Whitlock, officiating. Her remains will be placed in state at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in South View Cemetery, Monticello.
