Knights Begin Season wtih Win-Loss

Shiloh Christian Academy has begun its 2011-2012 basketball schedule and has had several exciting games to begin the season.

The Knights and Lady Knights each have two teams this season with each having a traditional middle school team and also each having added a junior team made up of elementary and younger less-experienced middle schoolers.

The middle school teams traveled to Macon Area Christian for their season opener back on November 8 and earned a split with the girls coming up on the short end of a 12-8 defensive battle. After being down, 6-2 at the half, the Lady Knights had several opportunities in the final minutes to tie the game, but could not get any shots to fall. Ambriel Wyatt led the team with 4, with Rachael Jackson and McKenzie Tolbert adding 2 apiece.

The boys team was victorious in their season opener, winning a 43-42 double-overtime thriller. After heading into the locker room with a 14-9 halftime lead, the Knights watched the Mustangs tie the game at the end of regulation and the first overtime with miraculous three point shots.
