Charles Lee Luttrell
Charles Lee Luttrell, 77, of Mansfield, died Monday, October 31, 2011, at Newton Medical Center in Covington.
Mr. Luttrell was born in Greenville, Tenn. to the late William Howard Luttrell and Mary Elizabeth Barham Luttrell. He lived in Stone Mountain for a number of years before moving to Mansfield in 2001. He was a member of New Rocky Creek Baptist Church.
Before retirement, Mr. Luttrell was a tax examiner for the Internal Revenue Service. After retirement, he worked tirelessly for the Boy Scouts of America and was manager of the Camp Trading Post at Bert Adams Scout Reservation. He enjoyed cooking for the Boy Scouts, church members, and family and friends.
A brother, William Howard Luttrell, Jr., preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Horsley Luttrell of Mansfield; daughters and sons-in-law, Janet Lynn Maxey of Mansfield, Karen and Lionel Dangerfield of Lawrenceville, and Misty and Sammy Lanier of Decatur; grandson and his wife, Michael and Patricia Maxey; granddaughters, Heather Dangerfield and Lauren Dangerfield; and sisters and brother, Doris Ranew of Statesboro, Diana Wilder of Tennessee, and David Luttrell of Harriman, Tenn.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2011, at the chapel of Jordan Funeral Home with interment in New Rocky Creek Baptist Church. Dr. Randal Reese officiated.
