Jake Michael Brown

Jake Michael “Mike” Brown, Jr., 23, of Monticello, died Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011 at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.

Mr. Brown was born in Covington, on January 5, 1988 and raised by his paternal grandparents, the late Hilda Stapp Brown and Jake Monroe Brown. Mr. Brown’s dad, Jake Michael Brown Sr. and uncle, Scott Brown preceded him in death.

Mr. Brown attended Eastside High School where he was involved in several clubs and activities. He was a great sports fan and enjoyed basketball and football.

He was a friend to everyone and never met a stranger. His gentle spirit and respectful manners were his best attributes and he will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his special aunts and uncles, Connie and Jeff Brown of Winder and Doug and Dana Brown of Covington; special family, Anthony Pope; Myles and Penny Campbell, and a host of

cousins, other family and close friends.

Memorial services for Mr. Brown will be held Sunday, Oct. 23, at 3 p.m. at the Barrow Worship Center in Winder. The family suggests donations to the Georgia Transplant Foundation, 500 Sugar Mill Road, Suite 170A, Atlanta, GA 30350.
