R. Strozier Seeks Seat on Council

Randy Strozier qualified for the City Council race, running for District 2, Post 1, facing Russell Gross.
He is the son of the late Lewis and Helen Strozier. He grew up in Hampton, where he graduated from Henry County High School, Class of 1983. He has been a resident of Jasper County for the past 12 years. Rev. Strozier is the Assistant Pastor of Springfield Missionary Baptist Church in Monticello, where he works with the youth.

Rev. Strozier loves his community and volunteers often at places such as the Monticello Food Bank, the Hurricane (Basketball) Booster Club, the Boys-To-Men Mentoring Group, and doing missionary work visiting the sick and shut-in, according to his announcement.
Rev. Strozier was an owner-operator truck driver for 25 years, driving across country delivering food, furniture, clothing, construction equipment and more. He has also worked as an umpire for Henry County recreation department.
As a councilman, Rev. Strozier is “willing and wanting to make a difference” by addressing issues concerning collapsed drainage pipes, pot-holes in the roads, too narrow streets, updated street signs and stop signs and attracting family-friendly entertainment to our city.
