Gail Livingston Lazar

Mrs. Gail Livingston Lazar died September 14, 2011 at Jasper Memorial Hospital.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Oct. 1, at 11:30 a.m. at Mary, Mother of God Catholic Church in Jackson.

Mrs. Lazar was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on May 19, 1934. She worked as a real estate closing clerk at Prudential Bank in Atlanta. She moved to Monticello in 1989, and served as secretary of the local Republican party. She was a member of the Daughters of teh American Revolution (DAR).

Survivors include her husband, Jerome Victor “Jerry” Lazar of Monticello; sons, Glenn Galtere, Geoffrey Galtere, and Gavin Galtere; a sister, Andrea Keynon, a brother, Edward Livingston, and four grandchildren, Jake Galtere, Elisha Galtere, Dakulyn Galtere, and Nicolas Galtere.
