Athletic Director and Head Softball Coach Chris Jenkins said, “This win was big because it puts us in the region tournament as a fourth seed as a host team in the first round. We could still end us as a second seed depending on how we do next Tuesday versus Morgan County.”

The team was scheduled to play a double-header yesterday, Sept. 14 versus Taylor County and Mary Persons, both non-region games.

This Saturday, the team is scheduled to play two games in the Monticello-Deer Capital Classic, at the Jasper County Recreation Department rather than on their home field at the middle school.

They’re scheduled to start early in an 8 a.m. game versus Lamar County and an 11 a.m. game versus Warner Robins. Six other games are also scheduled at the recreation field on Saturday for a full day of softball.

Next Tuesday, Sept. 20, they are scheduled to play their last region game of the season on the road versus Morgan County.
