The brief program calls for Monticello Mayor Glenn Newsome to welcome those who assemble, as well as to close out the program.

Dr. Bob Whitmire of Monticello Baptist Church will give the invocation, then the fire department’s bell will be rung. Cheryl Jacobs will read the names of victims of the 911 attacks who have ties to Georgia.

Following that Ella Heath will sing Amazing Grace then William Gibson will lead a brief memorial skit.
