All Stars Junior League Make State
The Jasper County Recreation Department’s (JCRD), 13 & 14 year old girls were awarded the district championship in Watkinsville recently.
The All Star Team, consisting of nine players who were selected from the league’s three teams.

The team went on to compete for the state championship in Monroe on July 16.
The team suffered its first loss in state competition against the Western All Stars. Western is a team out of the Warner Robins area. Jasper returned on July 17 to compete against Bartow County.
The Jasper girls competed well but came up short. They returned on the 18 for their final stand against Pioneer.
The Jasper girls started out on top and held the lead for the first four innings.
In a very tight game, Jasper County came up short in the seventh inning.
