Lady Cougars Advance to Final Four

The Piedmont Academy varsity girls soccer team is now in the Final Four.

The Lady Cougars defeated First Presbyterian Christian Academy 5-4 in overtime Thursday. The date for the state semi-final matchup, along with location and match time, should be known by Monday, school officials said.

Piedmont is a No. 1 seed but there is a possibility of facing a fellow top seed in the semi-finals. A lower-seeded opponent would guarantee another home playoff match.

The Lady Cougars are coached by Dwain Landress and Jake Landress and are now just two wins from a GISA Class AA state title.
