HOPPY EASTER

This house on West Washington Street is all dressed up for a festive Easter holiday. Easter is Sunday, April 24, and many area churches and other groups are celebrating with Easter egg hunts this weekend before the religious celebration the following weekend.

On Easter Sunday, the Monticello Kiwnais Club will again sponsor the Easter sunrise service on the Square at 6:45 a.m., and numerous churches are having individual sunrise services. In addition, other special Easter services are planned, with Holy Week services daily at Monticello First United Methodist Church, and a Maundy Thursday service at Monticello Presbyterian Church.

For a more complete list of upcoming special services, refer to page 3 of today’s newspaper. Any churches wanting to have their service listed in next week’s paper should get the information to us no later than Monday, April 18, at 5 p.m.
