Piedmont Track Is Rained Out

Piedmont Academy’s track athletes have battled the weather as much as any opponent this spring.

Last week was another example as the track teams were not able to run at Brentwood due to weather conditions. Piedmont is off for spring break and hopes to be able to compete April 13 at Gatewood for the “pre-region” event.

“The pre-region will only have the teams in our region,” coach Rhett Farmer said. “It will help us evaluate times for the upcoming region meet (April 20, also at Gatewood.)”
The region meet will be a challenge for the Piedmont teams as last year’s AA state champ (Brentwood) and last season’s Class A champion (Covenant) are in Region 1-AA this spring.
