Piedmont Tennis Eyes Region

The Piedmont Academy Lady Cougars tennis team is preparing for the upcoming Region 1-AA tournament April 12 at Brentwood.

The Lady Cougars played their final regular season match last Thursday winning two matches against Brentwood. Katie Dimsdale won 8-2 at No. 2 singles and Clare Maloney took an 8-2 win at No. 3 singles. Brittany Germany fell 8-2 at No. 1 singles.

In doubles action, the No. 1 team of Briana Bailey and Savannah Holifield fell 8-3 while Nina Blackshear and Shianne Witcher were defeated 8-1. Britton Bailey fell 8-2 in a boys match.
