Piedmont Golfers Lose at Gatewood

It was not the best day of the season for the Piedmont Academy golf team last Thursday when the Cougars faced Gatewood.

Playing conditions at the Harbor Club on Lake Oconee gave Piedmont a rough outing, coupled with a strong Gatewood foe.

“It was certainly not our best match of the season,” coach Ryan Berg said. “It was very windy and we struggled with the conditions.”
Blake Hammock was low medalist for Piedmont.

Monday’s scheduled match against Loganville Christian was not played due to weather conditions. Berg said Monday night he was not sure if the match will be reschedule.

The Cougar golfers will host Monsignor Donovan, today, March 31 at 3:30 p.m. at Hunter Pope Country Club.
