Man Is Reported Missing

Jonathan Lynn Maroney, has been missing since March 1, when he was last seen by his mother, who lives on Snipe Court, according to the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO).
Mr. Maroney left his mother’s house walking, with a small backpack, and said he was heading to a residence on Conley Ditch Road where he was going to stay with an undisclosed person who had offered him a job, said his mother. She has not seen nor heard from him since.
Mr. Maroney is described as a white male, five feet, eight inches tall, 165 pounds, short blonde hair and blue eyes. Anyone with information concerning this person is encouraged to contact the JCSO at 706-468-9012.
Also, incident reports from the JCSO from March 2 through March 8, are as follows:

•On March 8, a set of 20 inch factory wheels and tires were reported stolen off a truck on Edwards Road.
•On March 8, a General Electric window unit air conditioner was reported stolen from a residence on Rocky Creek Road.
•On March 5, four rifles, a pistol, three swords, a sheath knife, an assortment of pocket knives, and a stack on cabinet were stolen from a residence on Morning Dove Court.
•On March 4, a theft by deception of a Western Union money order was reported by an individual on Dumas Road in Hillsboro.
•On March 3, electrical copper wiring was reported stolen from a barn located on Rocky Creek Road and County Line Road.
•On March 2, a 2005 Suzuki dirt bike was reported stolen from a residence on Landers Way.

During the period of March 1-8 the JCSO also reported the following arrests:
•Don Manuel Miller, III., 26, Monticello—false report of a crime.
•Lori Christine Straka, 47, Monticello—poss/mfg/dist of a controlled substance and possession and use of drug related objects.
•Lillie Jeanelle Otwell, 36, Monticello—possession of Ephedrine, Pseudoephedrine or Phenylpo.
•Larry Mark Jenkins, Jr., 22, Monticello—possession, manufacture, distribution of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.
•Bobbi Kate Milner, 23, Monticello—driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, headlight violation and failure to maintain lane.
•Donald Hill, 44, Monticello: disorderly conduct.
During this same period deputies with the JCSO responded to 127 calls for service including 20 stopping suspicious person/vehicle, 11 subject needs officer, nine alarm, seven assist motorist six burglary, five domestic, trouble unknown and accident, four each livestock on road, mechanical breakdown identity fraud/theft, juvenile complaint and threatening/harassing call.
Also, three each pickup prisoner and argument, two each speeding auto, direct traffic, theft by taking, chest pain overdose, assault and abandoned vehicle, one each intoxicated driver, intoxicated pedestrian, hit and run, mental person, be on the look out, fracture, miscellaneous EMS, missing person, extra patrol, dead on arrival, music/noise complaint, property found, road hazard, trespassing, VGCSA, attempt to serve warrant, fraud/theft by deceiving and 911 hang up.
Also during this period, the Monticello Police Department (MPD) reported the following arrests:
•Natalia Olguin Marcos, 33, Shady Dale—license violation, expired tag and no insurance.
•Kanvi Cerrio Roach, 19, Monticello—aggravated assault.
•Tony Andrew Thurman, 45, Monticello—probation violation and theft by shoplifting.
•Walter Mead Carter, 58, Monticello—pedestrian under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
During this same period officers with the MPD responded to 57 calls for service including 19 stopping suspicious person/vehicle, three each alarm, assist motorist escort or convoy and 911 hang up, two each speeding auto, subject needs officer, juvenile complaint, trouble unknown, music/noise complaint and threatening/harassing calls, one each domestic, intoxicated driver, intoxicated pedestrian, hit and run, theft by taking, pick up prisoner, assault, counterfeit, stabbing, possible suicide, private property, argument and abandoned vehicle.
