Probation Revoked in Jasper Criminal Court
In the Superior Court of Jasper County Tuesday, with Judge Hulane E. George, presiding, Jeffery Alan Custer had his probation revoked for the new charges of leaving the state without permission and failure to pay court ordered monies.
Mr. Custer was on probation for the charge of manufacture and possession with intent to distribute meth in Dec. 2009. Mr. Custer was sentenced to 120 days in the Jasper County Jail suspended upon entry into a state probation detention center for 60/90 days, and upon release ordered to relocate outside of Jasper County within 30 days.
Charleston Russell also had his probation revoked for the new charges of failure to report and failure to pay court ordered fines and fees. Mr. Russell was on probation for three counts of the charge of theft by taking in October 2006. He was sentenced to serve the remainder of his probation in the state penal system with an end date of February 20, 2012.
James Johnson also had his probation revoked for unspecified new charges. Mr. Johnson was on probation for violation of the Georgia controlled substance act in October, 2006. He was sentenced to have the two years of his probated sentence revoked to the state penal system.
In addition, the following individuals plead guilty to charges as shown and were sentenced as indicated below:

•Antonio Lernard Buggs plead guilty to obtaining dangerous drugs by forgery—sentenced to 12 months probation and fines and fees of $594.
•Dennis Edward Lewallen plead guilty to theft by taking—sentenced to 12 months probation and fines and fees of $314.
•John Anthony Criswell, Jr. plead guilty to theft by taking—sentenced to 12 months probation and fines and fees of $324.
•Joshua Adam Crayne plead nolo contendere to two counts of battery/family violence—sentenced to six months probation, fines and fees of $344 and ordered to obtain family violence counseling.
•Robert Carpenter plead guilty to obstruction of officer—sentenced to six months probation and fines and fees of $344.
•Keith Darell Clay pled guilty to driving while license suspended—sentenced to six months probation and $344.
Michael Tumlin, charged with theft by taking, and Harold Lee Reedy, charged with open container violation, failed to appear and bench warrants were issued for their arrest.
Six other individuals pled not guilty to varying charges and will be scheduled for trial by jury unless a plea negotiation takes place prior to such time. Also, five other cases were continued.
