Grant Received

Jasper County Fire Chief Jarrett Slocumb (front) accepts a check the department received as part of the Georgia-Pacific Bucket Brigade Grant. The grant is only awarded to fire departments that have Georgia-Pacific plants located in the community.

Chief Slocumb applied for the grant in August, 2010. The money received from the grant will be used to purchase Automatic External Defibrillators (A.E.D.) for the fire department.
