Bertha Rosa Jeffries Cleveland

Mrs. Bertha Rosa Jeffries Cleveland, 91, of Jackson, died Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at Westbury Medical Care Home.

She was born June 1, 1919 in Jackson to the late Cordy Jeffries and Mary Edwards Jeffries.

Survivors include six daughters, Carol Anderson, of Gray, Sarah English, Margaret Greenwood and Bonnie Cook, all of Jackson, Dorothy Cronan and Martha Miller, both of Monticello; a son, Tommy Cleveland, of McDonough; sister, Ollie Mae Kitchens, of Jackson; 15 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Cleveland, son, Jerrell Cleveland, and grandson, Dale Anderson.

Funeral services for Mrs. Cleveland will be held today, Jan. 6, at 3 p.m. at the chapel of Sherrell Funeral Home with Rev. John Sherrell and Rudy Mangham officiating. Interment will be at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.
