Lawrence Alfred Swanson

Lawrence Alfred Swanson, 90, died Friday, Nov. 26, 2010, at Jasper Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Swanson was born in Toledo, Ohio to the late Augustus Swanson and Ruth Anderson Smith. He served as a medic in the Army Air Corps. Before retirement, he was a machinist for the Wiremold Company in West Hartford, Connecticut. His wife, Frances Elizabeth Wyatt Swanson, preceded him in death four years ago.

He is survived by special friend and caregiver, Kimberly C. King of Monticello.

A graveside service is planned for Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010, at 3 p.m. at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Shady Dale. Rev. Ed Westbrook will officiate.
