Eva Nell Palmer Wilkins
Eva Nell Palmer Wilkins, 73, of Monticello, died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010, at The Retreat Nursing Home.
Mrs. Wilkins was born in Toccoa, to the late James Orr Palmer and Mary Carrie Simpson Palmer. She lived in DeKalb County for a number of years before moving to Monticello in 1982. She was a bookkeeper for Wilkins Construction. Her hobbies included photography, reading and watching cooking channels.
Her brother, Lee Roy Palmer, and grandson, Brent Wilkins, and preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, Chester Wilkins of Monticello; children and spouses, Cheri Dilbeck of Monroe, Stephen C. and Judy Wilkins of Conyers, and Tracy and Brian Robinson of Stockbridge; grandchildren, Justin Dilbeck, Brooke Robinson, Megan Robinson, Courtney Wilkins, Stevie Wilkins, Shannon Crowe, and Michelle King; great-grandchildren, Dakotah Dilbeck, Katelyn Nash, Brittany Crowe, Aubry Crowe, Johnny Crowe, and Cole King; and brother, William Harrison Palmer of Covington.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 2, 2010, at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Jordan Funeral Home. Interment will be held in the Talmadge Cemetery in Monticello. Dr. John Brown will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Stevie Wilkins, Brian Robinson, Steve Wilkins, and Sam Robinson.
The family will receive friends from 5–7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2010, at Jordan Funeral Home.
