Search Warrant Results in D

A search warrant was recently initiated at the residence of Teresa Deanna Dailey of Monticello, which resulted in the discovery of marijuana packaged in clear bags, a box of clear bags and a set of digital scales.

According to the affidavit for arrest warrant by an investigator of the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) the articles were found in a black trash bag behind the house, and Ms. Dailey admitted to having hid the bag there after receiving a phone call tipping her the police could be on their way. She has been charged with purchase/possession/manufacturing/distribution of marijuana.

Also, a warrant was issued last week for the arrest of Andrew Cane Geiger of Monticello, charging him with underage possession of a pistol/rifle. The charge came as a result of Mr. Geiger being 17 years old and having been found in possession of a Beretta 22 caliber automatic pistol during a traffic stop on or about October 30.

Other arrests reported by the JCSO during the period of November 16 through 22 include the following:

•Da’Antron Kapedro Ammons, 31, Hillsboro—probation violation.

•David Jason Greene, 35, Covington—possession of a schedule II controlled substance, giving false name, address or birth date to law enforcement officer, and drugs not in original container, open container, failure to maintain lane, driving on a suspended or revoked license and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

During this same period deputies with the JCSO responded to 15 stopping suspicious person/vehicle, nine each accident and subject needs officer.

Also during this period the Monticello Police Department (MPD) reported the following arrests:

•Jennifer Nicole Allen, 29, Monticello—open container, stop sign violation, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and possession of marijuana less than 1 oz.

•Jessilyn LeJoean Asbell, 22, Monticello—disorderly conduct.

•Jacob Lee Holland, 25, Monticello—failure to obey traffic signal and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs less safe.
And during this same period officers with the MPD responded to 33 calls for ser vice.
