One Player Is Perfect In Weekly Contest

Nanette D. Manning had a perfect score in last week’s Monticello News weekly football contest, correctly guessing the winners of all 15 games listed.
For her efforts she won a $25 prize from Primary Care Center at Jasper Memorial Hospital in Monticello. Dr. Shannon Barton presented the prize to Mrs. Manning’s son, Moses.
The whole Manning family plays the contest regularly. Dr. Barton and many others in her office are also regular players of the football contest.
Two players got 14 right—Joshua Burge and Brittany Burge, and 14 people got 13 right. Twenty-one more made the honor roll for a total of 50 names added this week for a chance at the grand prize of four tickets to the Chick-fil-A bowl in Atlanta on New Year’s Eve.
Football season is winding down, with just a few more contests to go, so don’t miss out on the fun. The contest is on page 13. Anyone can play, and it doesn’t take a football expert to win.
Next week’s contest sponsor is Fox & Yeoman’s Insurance, and the person with the most correct guesses, subject to the tiebreaker, the Piedmont Cougars playoff game, will win $25.
But, all entries must be into The Monticello News no later than 5 p.m. tomorrow, Nov. 19. They can be faxed to 706-468-6576 or brought in person to 237 W. Washington St.
