Julie L. Keasler

Julie L. Keasler, 52, a resident of Monticello for 23 years died, Saturday, October 16, 2010 with her husband and her son by her side.

Mrs. Keasler was an active member of New Rocky Creek Baptist Church in Mansfield. She was a talented artist and a dedicated housewife.

Survivors include her husband of 25 years, John Keasler, Sr., of Monticello; mother Janice Tallman of Jackson; father Lonnie (Louise) Whisenant of Griffin; son, Michael (Lucy) Thompkins, and two granddaughters, Maria and Victoria of McDonough; and by her step- children John (Kathrin) Keasler II of Dallas, TX and grandchildren Erica, David, Andre, and Belana; Michelle Streetman of Hiram and grandchildren Gabrielle, Lee III, and Alexis and Brooke (Brandon) Hastings of Powell, TN. and grandson Jayden.

Also, sisters, Melissa (Clint) Sargent of Senoia, Miranda (Richard) Dial of Stockbridge, Monica Black of Newnan, and Belinda Brunson of Fayetteville, along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at New Rocky Creek Baptist Church, 190 Rocky Creek Road, Mansfield, on Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010 at 2 p.m. with Dr. Randal Reese officiating.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations in her name be made to her church, New Rocky Creek Baptist Church.
