Extras Are Needed For Filming

The movie Unspoken Words is being filmed in Jasper County this week, with filming planned on the Monticello Square this Saturday, Oct. 23.
Many people are needed to serve as extras for the scene where a young man is considering jumping off a tall building and taking his own life.
The movie is produced by Atlanta Dream Team Productions, and stars Robin Givens, Greg Alan Williams, Jasmine Guy and “Bonecrusher.”
Filming in Jasper County began last week at the old Bronner house (above) in north Jasper County, which serves as the foster home for the movie’s main character, Dante. Dante is raised in that foster home, and is routinely beaten and mistreated in other ways. He seeks refuge in poetry.

Dante eventually runs away, and goes to Atlanta where living on the streets is a better life than the one he had in his foster home in Alabama.
Just as his life is turning around, the authorities find him and return him to his foster home.
The film’s director, Henderson Maddox, has local ties, being related to the Bronner’s whose homeplace he is using to shoot some of the scenes. He was born at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta and grew up in Atlanta. After high school graduation, he attended Full Sail experiencing an intense film degree program.
Other outstanding recognition is winning music video of the year in the Atlanta Urban Media-makers Film Festival, and directing over 40 music videos under his production company all by the age of 22. Mr. Maddox was honored as Best Director at the 2010 San Diego Black Film Festival.
