Matt White

Lynn Mathew “Matt” White, 54, died Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010, at his residence in Mansfield.

Mr. White was born in Atlanta. His father was the late McAllen White. He lived in Covington for a number of years before moving to Mansfield 16 years ago. He was a self-employed rock mason.

Two sisters, Dorothy Malin and Rose Cash, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his mother, Marie Susie Flanigan White of Mansfield; brothers and sisters, Ronnie White of Loganville, Dale White of Social Circle, Mel White of Leesburg, Alice Daniel of Shady Dale, Mark White of Fairmont, W.Va., and Wanda Spriggs of Fort Worth, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Funeral services were scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010, at 11 a.m. at New Rocky Creek Baptist Church in Mansfield, with burial in the church cemetery. Dr. Randal Reese officiated.

The family suggests donations to the New Rocky Creek Baptist Church, 190 New Rocky Creek Road, Mansfield, GA 30055 or Abbey Hospice, 215 Azalea Court, Social Circle, GA 30025. in lieu of flowers.

The family will receive friends prior to the service, Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010, from 9 to 10 a.m., at New Rocky Creek Baptist Church,
